January MyGlam Bag....

 Hey Everyone,

So today's reviews is with January's My Glam bag. Now MyGlam was created by Youtube Beauty Guru Michelle Phan with the help of other youtubers Promise Phan, Jessica Harlow, just to name a few. Every month you get 4 or 5 products from the MyGlam stylist for just $10.00.

This months bag came with

  • Sheer Cover - $29.00
  • Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditi0ner - $36.00
  • Freeman Cucumber Facial Peel-Off Masque & Sachets - $8.00
  • The Balm Cosmetics Shady Lady - $16.00
All products are listed to be all natural, animal cruelty free, and vegan.

Sheer Cover Duo Concealer - 0.05 fl oz
Colors in Light and Tan.

Sheer Cover is said to be a unique pigment and mineral complex that gives full coverage with a sheer flawless finish. The first day I tried it was really good. It's very creamy and yes has a sheen to it. However after the first hours it started to mold into my lines under my eyes making it look very nasty considering I'm 26years old and still got a long ways to go before I get lines. But it feels a bit heavy for and by the end of the day I can not wait to take it off. It is nice to use as a foundation believe it or not. I used it today as one and it worked pretty good, but I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin. So this for me was a big miss..
theBalm Cosmetics - Shady Lady Eye Shadow - 0.12 fl oz.

the Balm Cosmetics is a high brand makeup that uses natural ingredients and Animal Cruelty Free which is always a good thing. As you can see from the pic above ^^^ Shady Lady remains of Sin from Urban Decay.  It is very sheer and it's a pretty color other then that I do not like it at all. I had to switch it I don't know how many times for it to come out for the picture and on top of that its is not pigmented as it claims to be. I have very oily lids and even with an eye primer the shadow didn't show and it came right off. So it's nice for a highlight under the brow but that's it.
Freeman Cucumber Facial Peel - Off Masque & Sachets

Freeman Cucumber Facial Peel - Off Masque is said to nourish, hydrate, and replenish leaving your skin looking glowing. Umm....yeah no it does not. The first time I put this own it burned my skin and it left it feeling super dry.. I have nothing else to say other then I could have bought something better at the drugstore then this.
Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner - 16 floz.
Now this is the only thing I loved from my bag and sorry but I do not for the life of my know what happen to my bottle =-( which stinks. Wen is a organic hair care product created by Chaz Dean.  It is said to be a cleansing conditioner made to leave your hair with its natural oils and leaves it thick and hydrated. Let me say this only once: WOW!!!!  I love, love, love this product. It feels very nice on the scalp and leaves my hair just OMG out of this world. It has a cooling sensation when you put it in your hair and it felt oh so nice. Now I do know their is a product in a beauty store that sells something similar to this but for the life of me I can not remember but the fact I used it twice and my hair is slick, softer, fuller (and I have very thick hair) its just out of this world. Down side it as a very strong smell to it.

As for a final point I have to mention that MyGlam is a very new company with a few shipping problems. I am not sure if it was because of MLK day that the delivery came very late but I did not get my package until last week, I also read a few customer complaining that they have not gotten bags since last month and MyGlam keeps taking money out of their account. Some who got bags for this month ended up getting 3 or 4 bags and sometimes when they would ship it back they would ship it without one or more of the products. MyGlam does not have a call center only answer by email.

This is the first time I tried out  MyGlam so I am willing to give them another chance and hoping they do not disappoint me. So over all view I disliked almost everything that was in this bag except the Wen Hair Care. I'm hoping next month will give me something better and out of this world. So thanks for dropping by leave a comment and see you all next time.

Until then.....

That's Birchbox Baby!

Hey Everyone,

Today reviews are this month's Birchbox. Now the Birchbox is a box that comes every month for $10.00. Inside the box has samples from make up, hair care, skin care, and health. This month box comes with Archipelago a Pomegranate Body Soap, Clark's Botanicals a Smoothing Marine Cream, Juicy Couture a Fragrance, Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner, and Larabar a Mini Bar.

This is the box it comes in. Now it gets shipped every month on the 10th and it comes about for me at least in 3 days. It comes with a list of products card and it always in a pretty pink wrap.

Archipelago Pomegranate Body Soap is a laced with pomegranate extracts and  smells real nice. It doesn't do much else for me other then smell nice. I've used it a few time but not very big on it. A nice soup but not one I would buy. Full size price is $12.50. Sorry to say I would prefer Dove then this.
Clark's Botanicals Smoothing Marine Cream has Glycolic Acid to make dull skin feel smoother and fresh. I have tried this for a week and an half  and it was a there there for me. I have combo skin which is half oily and half dry, so for a little while it made my face feel a little smooth but it wasn't like OMG it was great kind of thing. As for pricing, for a full size its $115.00 so yeah I wouldn't be buying this.
Stila is a high name makeup brand and a very good one. The one I got was  a Navy Blue and let me tell you this one stopped my heart. I put it on and it stays on all day. It goes on smooth, it's creamy, and it's such a Beau-ti-ful color. I just put this on by itself and the color made the brown in my eyes pop. If you are tried of the same old black then this is the color for you and for a full size $20.00 I think I may buy this.
I just put it on my hand and it would not come off. I love it !

Juicy Couture is a also a High name brand. The sample I got was the self named Juicy Couture. The smell is a floral  sexy smell, don't know how else to explain it. It makes me think of a rosy kind of smell and very strong too. I tried it a few times and had people tell me I smell really good. I'm loving this. For full size is about $69.00 - $89.00. This maybe a good buy for me.
Larabar is a mini healthy bar. It has no artificial filler and the ingredients include: dried fruits, nuts, and other wholesome ingredients that are good for you. The one I got was chocolate chip brownie and let me say I was in love with it. It did not taste bad at all and tasted just like brownies. If you are trying to have a better eating habits I would say this would be a great snack before lunch and/or dinner.  Now no price was included however you can find it at your local Target, Walmart, and other super market stores.  I believe prices run from $7.00 to $9.00. I do plan on buying more of this.

So this is my review for this week, for more information on the products listed head on over to www.birchbox.com. You can subscribe for the monthly or yearly package and if that doesn't fit you can just pay the products without signing up. I do however say for 5 products samples, free shipping, and for $10.00 its a good bargain.

So thanks everyone for dropping by and supporting. Leave a comment if you have any question or if you just want to say hi.

Thanks until then...

Oh My Avon!!

Hey Everyone,

So just recently I've bought a ton of stuff from Avon. Now if you don't know what Avon is, you have truly been living under a rock (just kidding)..

"A little history on Avon"
Avon has been around for 125 years. Avon was founded by a Book Salesmen name David H. McConnell. Avon at the time was known as a California Perfume Company and he recruited his first Avon Rep, Mrs. Albee of New Hampshire. Till this day Avon is still around with the support of many well known celebrities alliances and every year Avon support and rise money for The Breast Cancer Awareness.

I love Avon and buy from them whenever I can, here's I got the following products:
  1. Super Shock Gel Liners: Flashy Brown and Metallic Teal - $ 7.00
  2. Be Blushed Cheek Color: Tropical Peach and Crushed Berry - $ 8.00
  3. Moisture Seduction Lip Gloss: Pearly Pink - Reg. $ 7.00 Sale. $2.99
  4. Ultra Luxury Lip Liner: Deep Plum and Rosebud - Reg. $6.00 Sale. 2.99
  5. Perfect Eyebrow Pencil: Medium Brown - Reg. $6.00 Sale. 2.99
  6. Glimmer Lip Liner: Mystery Mauve - $7.00
  7. Glimmer Eye Liner: Emerald - $7.00

And with my order $14.00 or more I got a free pink I love you bag.

From Top to Bottom: Deep Plum, Rosebud,  Mystery Mauve

Top to Bottom: Rosebud, Mystery Mauve , Deep Plum
Now Rosebud is somewhat of a Reddish Brown almost like a brick color. The color is very nice goes on very smooth and like any lip liner does stay on for at least for me a good 3hrs before I have to retouch. Mystery Mauve is a very Nude-y Brown color and very pretty too. As a glimmer stick it is also glides on my lips very smooth. It remains me of  Revlon Color stay. Deep Plum is to me a very plummy color where you can wear it alone or with a pretty nude lipstick or the same color lipstick.  For me, a little gloss and I'm out the door.

From Left to Right: Metallic Teal and Flashy Brown. The Packaging is the same as the Mac Paint Pots.

Flashy Brown is a very Copper-y Brown color. The color pay off is not as great as I would have liked. It does goes on  nice, however you would have to go over it a few times to see it.

The Metallic Teal is a very shimmery Teal and a very beautiful color. The color pay off for this one is very good. I like this color way better then the Flashy Brown and it brought out the brown in my eyes so you can guess how much I enjoyed that LOL.

From Top to Bottom: Emerald Green, Metallic Teal, and Flashy Brown.

From Left to Right: Crushed Berry and Tropical Peche.
Now both blushes have the same packaging as Nars "The Multiple", however neither blushes has the same color pay off. Now Crushed Berry is a plummy color and has a bit of shimmer to  it. I had to keep applying it for it to show and it was not happening.
Tropical Peche is a bright peachy color. Again I was not happy with the color pay off. I had to keep putting it on and the end result was me with a very shiny cheek. So maybe not for me but I'll give it a few more tries before I call it quit.
From Left to Right: Tropical Peche and Crushed Berry.

Moisture Seduction Lip Gloss in Pearly Pink.
Pearly Pink is a very pretty pink-y color. It's very nice  moisturizer for my lips and feels like I have lip balm on. It may need retouching after an hour I'll say like other glosses. It's not super shiny and very adorable too . Can't beat that.

So that is all for this Avon review. For more information on the Avon products and where you can buy them just head on over to www.avon.com or just comment.
Thanks a lot for stopping by, take care..

Until then..

3 Drugstore Products Review

Hey Everyone...

So yesterday I went to my local Rite Aid and bought 3 products. The first is Revlon Colorbrust Lip Butter and two Maybelline Color Tattoo's.

The Revlon Lip Butter is the  most talked about drugstore product right now. It's super creamy, goes on smoothly, and you don't even feel like its on. It doesn't need retouching most of the time which is also another good thing. The packaging is really nice, my only eff is that I have to pull it a certain way in order to open it. Now the color I got was 015 Tutti Frutti, a beautiful peachy coral color, but...may not be the color for me.

Retail Price : $6.99-$7.99 depending on where you get it.

The next product are the Maybelline Color Tattoo's 24hrs. I got the colors 40 Tenacious Teal and 30 Pomegranate Punk. Tenacious Teal as you can see is a baby blueish color and for Pomegranate Punk its a kind of remains of a dark purplish brown to it. What you don't see in the photo is that both creams has some sort of a gold shimmer into. I just had to swipe it once to get this to come out which is a tale tell that both  cream shadows are quite surprising very pigmented.  They come in a form of a Paint Pot and can be a sup to a Mac Paint Pot if you don't want to spend a lot of money on it.  Now you can wear them without shadow, with out an eye primer and use it as an eye shadow base itself  but for a better staying power and for the colors to really pop you can apply eye shadow on top of it along of course with your favorite eye primer of choice.  As for the 24hr thing I can't really say it does however it does last you the whole day.All I can say way to go Maybelline..

40 Tenacious Teal and 30 Pomegranate Punk.

Retail Price from $6.99 - $7.99

So there are my three drugstore products and reviews. If you guys have any questions or would like to add your input just comment below. Until then...,,

Starting A New

Hi Everyone,

My name is Magda, and I am a up and coming Freelance Makeup Artist. Now what does that mean you say? Well I'll tell you, it means that at the present time I'm starting to come into my own when it comes to makeup. I've been doing makeup on and off for years but only gave it some thoughts recently to persue it full time. So I know many have questions.....

1) Do I have any training ?
No I don't have any training whats so ever. Everything I have learned was either from youtube or asking someone to teach me.

2) Do I know anything about makeup?
Yes I do know about makeup or at least what I know is right for me. I am still learning and coming into my own when it comes to it.

3) Do I know how to be an artist or do creative work?
Yes and no. I have been taking the time to learn the basic and lately I have been going out to explore what I can learn from others.

4) Why should you even listen to me?
Good question.. The truth is you don't have to listen to me. I, like many of you guys love makeup and want to make something great out of it. I am here because I feel confident even where I can show you a product or tell you about what I think might go or be a dud...

So, here it is. This is something I have been working on and will continue to work on. If you have any questions, remarks on how to make it better, or just to say hi, feel free to drop by. Also if you have nothing nice to say or just want to be rude please do not do it here. This is a friendly blog and I would like to keep it positive.

Until then....
