WORDS CAN HURT

For many years I have been the butt of every one's jokes. I'm too short, too fat, or my brother's personal favorite "I'm A Guerrilla."
Now I can take the jokes at times because they are from family and I can dish out as good as it gets. But what happens when someone you don't know say something mean and hurtful? Or When you are super sad and your family doesn't help by adding the jokes in there?

These days a lot of people are becoming more aware of the fact that bullies are mean spirited and they are everywhere. The youngest bully known started at the age of 6. Now I know bullies has been around for a long time but now has awareness because of social media. The suicide rate is growing and it's growing fast.

A lot of kids and young adults don't know who or where to turn to and believe suicide is the best way to go, well it is not.

Words has impact on us whether you mean them at the time or not it can lead to someone unhappiness. As I said I have been the butt of the jokes but they do hurt even when it is meant not too. I read on the news everyday of someone killing themselves because of the ugly words someone has called them or the contest teasing and bullying. Well "STOP" its not cool.
You should really be mindful that not everyone is the same. Some can not lose weight faster than the rest of us, or they can not get the Jordan's because their parents does not make as much. You can not knock someone else unless you walked a mile in their shoes and Lords know the lot of you guys do. So please be mindful of your words and remember those words can be damaging.

So if you guys don't know the month of May is National Lupus/Arthritis Awareness Month. Today the Lupus origination ask for everyone to wear purple as part to raise awareness to find a cure for the disease. So to show my support I had some fun with it...

I wore a turquoise  button down shirt with purple box designs. I bought this at  Target about a year  ago  I think.

Then I had my purple Nike running sneakers. For some reason it looks blue on camera. I bought these sneakers at a shoe store of course. LOL.

Now I wasn't going to wear any make up but yeah I did any ways.

My daughter showed her support my wearing a purple Princess shirt  because Hey if  it's not a princess shirt then why wear it. The Clothing are all from Children Place.

For interview day on May 16, 2013 (The day before), I wear the following

Dress pants was from Rainbow for $14.99.

Scarf also from Rainbow for $7.99
The whole look put together.

So yeah that is everything. As for the result from this interview I will be doing paid probation to see if it is the right fit for me. The job environment works for me because I need to find out if the work place is somewhere I would like to be at. I will be working with children so it is a good way to see if I really want to be a social worker or a counselor  for kids. Everything seems to be following into place.

As for National Lupus/ Arthritis month I did plan to walk however because of lack of finances I wont be able to go which sucks because I would like to meet new people in the community. But things happen and with the grace of God there will be Next year.
Those of you who would like to contribute please go to www.lupus.org and www.arthritis.org

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Till then.............

Insane Surgery?

Hello there fellow people!

Well today has been running errands and all that great stuff. If some of you do not know I have been looking for work. I have been having a hard time at the moment with the so call drops in jobs (although fake studies shows it has been raising again) and also because of my illness, child care, yada, yada, yada.

^^ You get the idea!
Anyway after searching for a while I finally got the call and now I will be going in for interview..

But the real story of today has to do with two things.

  1.  Killing my body with Shawn T's Insanity
  2. Performing surgery on my daughter's bear Shadow.
May not seem like a big deal to most but trust me it is.........
(O.O) it really is......

So if some do not know Insanity is a 60 day workout program to help lose weight using cardio interval. Now I am only doing this three days out of the week because Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday I have my cousin in law as my personal trainer.

^^Yeah I'm Cool like that!

So today I did the second day or you can say the first part which was Plyometric Cardio Circuit and let me tell ya it was not easy. You are always moving; always on the go doing different workouts such as:
  1. Jump Squats
  2. Mummy kicks
  3. The Basketball
  4. The 1st Drill
  5. Mountain Climbers Standing Up
and more. MY GOD THERE WAS MORE!!!
But it was a good workout I sweat a lot which I was hoping for and I can not wait to try out the rest. 30 more pounds and I'll be good to go.....

Okay now to Shadow the Bear. My daughter Serenity named her bear after one of the characters from Sonic the Hedgehog
^^Yeah this guy!^^
And well here is how it went...

Shadow had a injury to the left leg

We had to elevate his leg to let the swelling go down and yes his toes are painted.
Lucky we did not need much to perform the procedure.

We had to numb the leg with ice cold water

Shadow did not want his picture taken while the surgery was taken place however he posed for us after his surgery was done.
Shadow had a visitor his bff Bunny

Bunny has stuck by him to make sure he was A-Okay!!

Shadow is resting peaceful now at the moment though it pains me to say we do not know how long he can go on this time. This was his third operation yet but do not count him out. He is a fighter!

Until Than................

Starting New

So when I first started this blog page I wanted to write about makeup. And I did for a while, however, I start to shift my focus. Now, does that mean I will longer write about it? No! I will write about makeup but I will also write about things I would like to write about.

You see I do so love makeup but I also love movies, comic, books, dancing, and everything in between. I want to be able to talk about anything I want and hear others opinions. I would like to share what I went through during the day and weeks just to get myself out-there. So with that being said this is going to be a new blog setting. Writing about everything and anything.

So what have I been up too? Well since the last time I wrote I said I just found I had Rheumatoid Arthritis and I also have a mild case of SLE Lupus.

What is it and what does it mean?
Okay, so RA is a auto-immune disease that attacks the joints and your immune system. It causes swallowing of the joint and aches and pains. It can also affect your everyday lives. Symptoms include  but varies from fatigue, loss of energy, muscle and joint aches, and stiffness. During flare ups the joints become swollen and painful. And yes it hurts "A LOT". It can affect any and all joints. I usually loss movement with my hands because of flare ups. Also my knees, back and shoulders, but the worst part comes from the feet. I use to be able to walk for long periods of time or stand for that long. Since the disease if I stand on my feet for more the an hour or so my feet begins to hurt as well as my back and my feet start to swell up. And let me tell you it is not a pretty sight.

What about the Lupus?
The SLE Lupus which is Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (Yes long name I know) is a chronic inflammatory condition caused by an auto immune disease case in point RA. Now not everyone who has RA has SLE Lupus however it is sometimes hard to tell because both has one or more of the same symptoms.

What does this mean for me?
Nothing much really. I do have my good days and bad days which I will be getting to later on and yes their are medications but I don't take any which I will tell you more about later on.
OOOOHHHH NNNNNOOOOO I'm sorry to leave you hanging I really do. But come one I can be here for years like serious I will be here a long time writing about this. But for more information you guys can go check these websites www.arthritis.org and www.lupus.org.
So this is all I have for now I will be back soon whether to write about more of my condition or just to write about the crappy or happy day I am having. Whichever works =)

Until Then.........................
